The Allied Heath Division of VIDA was created on September 2002 with the
vision of narrowing the gap on the nursing shortage. With an increasing
demand for health and medical professionals nation wide, VIDA created the
Rio Grande Valley Allied Health Alliance. In an effort to respond to the
nursing shortage VIDA also developed a career pathway that offered up ward
mobility to existing individuals already in the medical field needing very
little training to attain a nursing degree or a degree into another
occupation experiencing the same shortage.
The Allied Health Division of VIDA has sincere and caring counselors waiting
to speak with anyone aspiring to become a health and medical professional in
one of the many allied health fields sponsored by VIDA. We’ll see you at our
next orientation. (link to VIDA orientation).
