The Basic Skills Department offers VIDA participants training programs
that allow individuals who have some or no academic background the training
necessary to move in the direction of Post Secondary Education training.
General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA)
training academies offer the best instructors and instruction for anyone
wanting to pursue an academic career. It is said that taking the first step
is usually the hardest. And it is also said that once you take that first
step the second step is easier than the first one. We here at the Basic
Skills Department are waiting for you to begin taking that first step

GED: Earn your General Educational Development Certificate. VIDA is in
partnership with Region One.
THEA: Pass the Texas Higher Education Assessment test and continue with
your college degree plan.
PSOT: Post Secondary Occupational Training or college courses. A variety
of careers await you as you choose your field of study. VIDA sponsors over
30 Associate and Certificate programs at STCC and TSTC, including business,
math, sciences, liberal arts and social sciences. |
